Pant size depends a lot on body shape, muscle tone, and weight. I like to keep my size in the single digits. Anything more and I'm asking for trouble.
Any Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14 back in the 1940s. That same size today would be an 8!

It's not the size it's the weight, I am 5'4" and the heaviest your suppose to be is 155-165. For meduim bone and for health reasons. You can't go by size because everyone's body is different and for that matter all clothing sizes are different per brand. I wear anything to 10-16 at this point.
The average women is 5'4" and is a size 12 or 14.

Well it depends on your body shape. Plus pant sizes differ from store to store. I know that I can wear a 5/6 jeans but can wear a 3/4 pant. It really depends on the way your shaped and how much you weigh. Try to keep your weight below 140.

MM wore size 16 actually.
5'4 is actually 165? the you should be 65kg, therefore size 12 would be the healthiest and most beautiful. If you want to follow models, size 2-4 should do ;-)

waist size should at least be a 27 ....like for instance size 7 for a dress...if you're 5'4 and weigh at least 130 lbs...if you weigh a little more than that ...then ur waist size would probably be around 30....thats a pretty normal size for a woman that height

Don't just go by pants size--the number may be misleading due to different manufacturers and cuts/styles. Go by waist size, which has been linked to risk of diabetes and heart disease. Keep your waist below 34.5 inches.
"People with a waistline of one meter (about 39.5 inches) or more are at serious risk of insulin resistance -- an early stage in the development of diabetes and heart disease, according to a study published online by the BMJ.
No easy test exists for predicting the insulin resistance of an individual. Current guidelines suggest a cut-off for heart disease of 102 centimeters (about 40 inches) in men and 88 centimeters (about 34.5) in women...."
