Yeah, go to the basement, and if you dont have one, stand in a doorway, or go into a strong room like the bathroom. Duck if the tornado starts throwing items around in your house so you dont get hit, put your hands over your head and neck. Use a battery powered radio to listen 4 weather updates. video games? i dont really care... Im gald I have a big brick house! =]

Well, I live in California, and the few times there have been one in my lifetime, the media calls it something else, and denies that it was one....lol. True! So, for us here, we carry on like normal. One in the LA area (OC) years ago tore off roofs on houses nearby, and pushed the front of our grocery store inward several feet. They called it a 'phenominine'. Tornado is apparently not part of California media weather terminology.
When I lived in a school bus in a corn field years ago in Ohio, I didn't have a clue what to do. I unplugged everything, sat in the dark (because the sky would go soooo black), and watched. How naive was that?

it is recommended to go in the basement. but most of the people here come out side to see where it is and if it is heading in their direction
