Why are liberals so weak-minded?

They seem to exhibit absolutely no ability of free thought or any concept beyond sound bites and so very whiney. Hopefully nature will fix the problem it created.

They claim to be "Open minded", but they can't consider or even understand the point of view of a Republican??? Moreover, they don't even realize this fact, Scary!!!

What's funny is that most Republicans can argue both the Repub view point and the Democrats view point, way better than most Dems can argue their own point, uh, they have no point. Democrats only criticize, Republican decisions. They don't offer any other option besides Anti-Republican, hello Democrats we can do that on our own, we don't need you to do that. We need you to come up with some real solutions, not criticism of solutions we've already implemented, that's why we have the "media". Democrats should be creating legislation to help all Americans, not talking and bashing and criticizing. We supposed to working together here. Democrats have NO right to call themselves "progressive", they block all movement, especially forward movement.

Liberals can't name one good thing Bush has accomplished. This is how blindly, They Hate. They can't even name something ok. Everything this Pres. does is evil and based on lies. How is that possible, you think everything he does is evil??? If you refuse to see something, you can be looking strait at it and not see it... Democratic thought. Learn both sides, Republicans already have. That's why Dems can't win a political debate, they don't even understand their own side, let alone both sides.

The problem with liberals is they don't have a cohesive philosophy. They are often well meaning, but they have this childlike belief that everything could be perfect if we could just legislate this a bit more, forbid that, restrict this..... in short, liberals always think they're just a law or two away from creating perfection.

What they end up with is a nightmare, and then they get frustrated that all their work seems to be accomplishing nothing. So, as I stated at the outset, their lack of a clear vision dooms them to failure, and this makes them whiny and petulant.


Liberals have this philosophy of "moral equivalency". If Reagan had fallen into that trap, he could never have summoned the moral indignation and resolve to fight Communism.

Liberals, especially the ACLU set, don't realize society can't function when everything is controversial; people have to agree on some basic ideas and values. When everyone can whine about every possible thing that doesn't suit his or her own selfish preferences, you are just creating chaos. Society can't function like this. It's like taking fabric and pulling it in every possible direction; it's going to unravel. There is nothing holding to together.

That in a nutshell is why liberals hate America. No matter what we do, they can always find the black cloud but never the silver lining.

I have known some very smart liberals. Although I am not a liberal, I believe that to be a liberal you first must have a feeling, and then go searching for selective evidence to support your feelings.

A good example of this is Michael Moore. Read an interview with anyone who has been surprised by his cameras and you will find a completely different story than what was edited to show on film. He wants people to believe you can buy a gun near Columbine and go on a killing spree the same day. What he doesn't tell you is that his group went to painstaking efforts to arrange that, and they were given preferential treatment because they lied to the shop. But he wants you to believe his point, so he makes his films appear how he wishes it had gone down "for the sake of the argument."

Another example is Air America. Have you ever listened to it? Oh, you haven't? That's OK nobody else has either, but I hear they always have them on at the Boys and Girls Clubs.

I'm a liberal and I can see your point of view, but you are wrong about Republicans. You must know that many Republicans are distancing themselves from Bush during this election year because of his dismal poll ratings, among them Arlen Specter and John McCain. These are registered, elected Republicans. Out of all the soldiers who are fighting and dying in Iraq, probably around half are liberals. Do you think only Conservatives and Republicans are buried in Arlington? Two of my brothers are in the military, one is moderate and the other is liberal. They both voluteered and have over 20 years service. You aren't very educated, are you? It shows.

Not all liberals are so weak-minded and the ultra conservatives are similar. I don't understand how the liberals just can't be logical or how they leave out so many facts to make their point when the only ones convinced in such a spurious claim are themselves.

Too many years of growing up with MTV, and National Public Radio and TV brainwashing. Some people resisted the programing done by these sources, some people succumbed and were lost into the democrat party.

I believe its an American thing to only be able to think within the box that this society has created. People these days seem unable to think for themselves and are constantly giving their rights away.

FYI: Not all Republicans are exactly Conservative, just as not all Democrats are exactly liberals. Ever hear of Paleo-cons, neo-cons, and ultra-cons? They are sub-divisions..... Bush is a neo-con, so yeah, a lot of conservatives do dislike Bush.
