First of all, don't listen to that guy..pregnancy tests aren't expensive...
If you haven't gotten your period it couldn't hurt to pick up a HPT and take it again..sometimes there just isn't enough of the hormone HcG to detect it and that is why you could get a false positive...if you were supposed to have your period and you are pretty normal and still haven't gotten it and the test is still negative I would go to the doctor to see what is going on because pregnancy isn't the only cause of an absent period..
hope that helps

If your first test said you were not pregnant than I wouldn't worry too much. But there is always the chance that the test was wrong. No pregnancy test is 100% accurate! But I'm guessing since you asked this question you have some doubt in your mind about the results. If you believe there to be a possibility that you are "with child" than definitely get another test. You could be part of that .1% that had a defective test.

Yes. If you didn't have enough of the HcG hormone it probably couldn't detect it. Every 3 days you hormone levels go up. If you are pregnant it should show up now. I had to take 6 tests last month. My best friend took a test a week for 2 months, had blood work done and it still showed up negative. They had to do a physical exam to find out she was pregnant. Its different for each person. Remember you can have "FALSE NEGATIVES" but not a "FALSE POSITIVE" if it ever shows up the slightest positive the hormone was detected and you are pregnant. Good luck

If you haven't started a period, and you feel that you may be pregnant, a new test may show a different result. If it comes back negative, call a doctor. You may have a more serious medical problem.
Are you nauseous? Do your breasts feel tender? Do you have unusual bumps around your nipples? These are all symptoms of pregnancy.
Take the test.

I took 3 tests and all came back negative then went to my doc yesterday and found out that I am pregnant. Give it like another week then test again. Or go to your doc for a blood test, they're always right!
