I read somewhere that there are clues in each episode and they want to make sure that we (the viewers) catch them.???

Yes, that's it exactly. People are obsessing about the supposed "clues" in the show. I think it is just an excuse to watch a bad evening soap opera.

Lost isnt actually supposed to return with new episodes until September, I think. Plus, to keep the show on tv in that time they play re-runs. It all takes time to film a show. When a new season starts, the writer has to write the script, not just for the first episode, but maybe four of them. Also, once the script is done, they have to film, and that can take a while too.

You should have seen the episode that was supposed to be new but kept referring to old episodes...There was only about 15 minutes of new stuff in it...I Lost interest that night. No that isn't true I still watch it but its a pain in the neck.
