Check the View menu at the top of your browser. If you don't see Address Bar checked click it.
Also, it's easy to lose menus my dragging them to other parts of the browser screen. Look to the right to see if there are any double arrows. Chances are your address bar is still there but it's too small for you to do anything with it.

right click on the toobar at the top select lock the toolbars
then go to the view bar, click the address bar and it should appear, now drag to desired position on the screen and then right click on the toobar again and select lock the toolbars

click the little down arrow next to your browser search diane
if that dont work you can go into your temporary files assuming you have internet explorer. right click on your desktop explorer icon,then goto properties,then click view files and browse through those until you find the name of the site you wanted. another way is to check your history

if it was by any chance mentioned in an instant message you were involved in,you could try looking in message archives,indicate who the conversation was with and go through the conversations.it may be listed within one of them.good luck.
