Knowing that there may be a link between local honey and hayfever I am looking for honey (bees have to be kept in this locality) as a possible cure. The websites are all a bit unhelpful.

Bees have to be kept in or around the Ormskirk area.

Yes i have hayfever. I took local honey for 2 years and gradually i was immune to hayfever in that area... You can get local honey (the honey needs to be within 6 miles radus to work) from Farm Shops. I got mine for bout £6 .... But just think , it does WORK.... and much cheaper then tablets that don't even work...
But don't take too much as your'l be sick as i was .... Take about 2 desert spoons in morning ... 2 in afternoon ... then 2 before you go to bed ....... Best wishes ...

Do you have a local farmer's market? They sell local produce, meats and possibly honey if there are any honey producers in your area. Also check with a local grocery store. They may know of producers in your area.

Strangely, our local hardware store sells the local honey. Call around your area, someone is bound to sell it.

Good Luck

Every couple of weeks in our area there is a farmers market
Not as boring as it sounds as its lots of local produce, meats, fruits and spreads/preserves etc, so im sure they would sell honey.

Its a fun shopping trip though cos theres usually someone selling handmade candles and soaps and stuff too

Have you looked in your local phone book? Next I would try the local health food store and any farmers markets nearby. Good luck.

Very often your smaller stores will purchase local honey.. then your next best bet would be a health food store.

at your local market or look around in shops but remeber it has to be within 10 - 20 miles away from you!
