Most obvious difference...? Well, the first thing I noticed when I looked for differences was the tail. Apes have no tail, whereas monkeys do. This is because monkeys have less strength to go through the trees, whereas apes are some of the strongest animals I know of in a strength-to-human-strength ratio. For example: an 80 lb chimp is 5 times stronger than the average man. Ok, so an 80 lb chimp is pretty strong, but what's stronger? The answer? A gorilla. Gorillas can reach 400 pounds and are able to rip every limb off a human being and throw them into a brick wall, shattering and loosening the bricks. From thirty feet away.
