All i could see she was guilty of, was taking drugs, but the way BBC news just had a go at her, you would think she`s killed someone or something. Surely if you take drugs without commiting any other crime, it`s only you that you are doing harm to, this doesn`t even seem to me like it should be a crime. I am a libralist by the way. What do you think of this, should news really have a strong anti Kate Moss opinon, or should she be left alone aslong as she doesn`t hurt anyone else?

by the way i don`t do any drugs myself (i don`t even smoke tobacco), but I don`t think it should be illegal to take drugs as long as you commit no other crime (like theft) to obtain the drugs.

Kate Moss has been and is an icon of fashion for young girls. With her profession comes a degree of responsibility towards those who spend a fortune on trying to be just like her. Young girls are impressionable and don't have great judgment. For some, if Kate Moss does it, they think it's cool. Any public figure knows that what they do...how they project themselves...influences thousands of fans directly, especially those who reach out to the younger set.
Also, Kate is in an occupation that finds it unacceptable to be a junkie, addict, or whatever. Her job requires that she be accurate, alert, quick, uses good judgment, etc. How can she do this when she's in a fog? What she was doing effected all who worked directly with her. If you truly think that doing drugs doesn't effect anyone but the taker, you have proven my point about why it was not okay for Kate to do this. Her followers believe the same thing, and it's dead wrong.

All people that use drugs are using for a reason. No one wakes up one day and just decides they want to become a drug user. First they are introduced by someone to the drug. Then after the drug is tried and the drug effects are felt, that is when an addiction or abuse forms. Oviously this young icon had something in her life not going the way she had hoped and when she was introduced to the drug the effect of the drug helped her in some way overcome what was not going right for her. This is really how abuse addiction is formed by all of us. Drug use starts by a person seeking self medication in hopes to over come some sort of physical or mental pain or despair that the person is having difficulty coping with. The drugs then become a habit for coping with life. Yes the illegal use of drugs should be punished no matter whom is the person caught using, however, this same person should also be treated for his or her underlying problem (s) that caused the person the seek out a form of self medication!
A nurse working with this young lady would assess that she has ineffective coping skills related to illegal use of substances/addiction to substances.

Just about every celebrity gets the same attention, the media has a field day with this type of thing. Robert Downey, Jr. , Nick Nolte, Whitney Houston and many others. Its easy to make an example out of these people they are doing harm, possession is a crime, its a long story .........

I honestly don't know what this poster is complaining about. Moss got off of all charges simply because she is famous. You can do no wrong on this Earth if you're well known and/or rich apparently. UK's judicial system is almost as much of a joke as this country's (and that's hard to come by).

She's been treated like a superstar just for walking around in different brand names. I don't see anything exceptional about her+ she's a drug-addict and an irresponsible mother! She really needs HELP, not attention and more money for being a trash model.

The devil is a liar. (WE)Kate needs to know she can do all thing through Christ which strenghtened (us)her.(We) She can overcome all thing. Without Christ we are the devils pray. She is hurting her temple and God which created her for his good and his good only. The bible says to repent and turn from our wicked ways Romans chapter 10 verse 9 says to confess with thy mouth and believe in thine heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead and thy shall be saved. The only way to overcome is with Jesus Christ. Yes she is a target(the devils pray) so the (world) can be divided half saying negative things to tear her down worse and the other half saying she aint hurting nobody but she is. JESUS

drugs are illegal for a reason. because they do harm. people who are public figures are supposed to set an example to others...especially our childern. what do you think her example says to them? that its ok? i think all drug users should be punished to the fullest ....but those people in the public eye really need to be made an example out of !!!
