Do you want to learn how to drive a car at high speeds, or do you want to quickly learn how to drive a car? Your question is a little confusing...don't speed...take plenty of time to get where you are going because it's easy to get tripped up by other drivers...they love to talk on cell phones and screw around instead of driving responsible...don't become one of those people...it's better to leave the house early or get somewhere late than to kill someone.

There is no substitute for experience. Don't drive over the speed limit. Always use your turn signals. Be courteous to other drivers. Stop at ALL stop signs and traffic lights. Wear your seat belt and make sure all of your passengers wear theirs. If you have a cell phone be sure to use your hands-free device so you won't be as easily distracted. Don't drink or do drugs and drive. Obey all traffic signs and signals. Watch out for kids running out from between parked cars. Watch out for bicyclists. Not that I want you to bug your folks to let you take the car, but the more often you drive, the more experienced you become, the better driver you will be.

Don't learn on a manual transmission if you can help it. Driving is hard enough to learn without the trauma of learning to shift gears.
Leave the radio and cell phone off. Distractions are one of the biggest hazards for a new driver.
Hands at 10 and 2 on the wheel.
Always check the adjustment of the mirrors before you start the engine.
Relax, nervousness will impair your driving performance.

The old adage STOP, LOOK and LISTEN comes to mind. We have sensory motors for a reason and it is not limited to cars. Always strive to hear the sound of an oncoming train or bus, a screech of tires, or the sound of collision in the background. This alerts you to change course to be safe. When you stop, survey the roadways to insure safe passage. Edging out into traffic to get "ahead" can get you DEAD. Why be dead? Just get to the destination safely. This way your vehicle isn't wrecked, your policy doesn't skyrocket and you have another chance to do something great. Always LOOK. Use every mirror on the vehicle periodically to see if someone is breaking the law. Avoid people that weave, speed, cut off traffic, and those that zig-zag in and out of traffic. Always keep your eyes on the road and your surroundings. If you stop, your eyes tell you when to go. Use your inborn faculties and see how long you get to stay on the road safely. Longer than some, I can tell you.

If you are just starting to drive and are worried on how to drive fast perhaps you should surrender your permit/license now. It's bad enough with all the nitwits out there now.The last thing we need is an inexperienced driver that wants to be a nascar driver.Do every one a favor and concentrate on developing good basic driver skills.Racing is for a track, drag or otherwise,go there to learn fast driving skills and use them there.Check the statistics on inexperiened drivers and fatal accidents. You may kill or maim yourself which would be bad enough, but worse you could do it to someone else too.So please think before you act.

Safety first. If you want to learn to drive fast, don't do it on the streets. Go to a racing school. You may think it's cool, but my kids are out there, and I don't have a lot of patience with people who endanger them for kicks.

Always buckle your seatbelt. Try not to panic. Driving takes practice. Always look out for the other idiots on the road. Obey the traffic laws, and you will do fine. Good luck!

if someone can do something stupid they usually will. see the car in the drive of the store up ahead, he should wait till you pass but be prepared cause they often will just cut you off. do not get carried away with the speeding you have years ahead of learning as you go do not think you can handle the car at 90mph.
