My Early intervention therapist suggesting these finger food puffs for my son to help with pincer and picking up foods- he still is pretty bad with tongue and getting food into mouth vs shirt, hands, etc. Question is how many, 80 per serving- he tends to put a lot in his mouth if I give him more than 10- can the baby choke on these- melts in mouth (?) Thanks!

10 to 20 for a snack would be plenty. These puffs pretty well melt in your mouth (try one if you want), so the baby should do well with them. Work with him though on just taking one at a time to help with the pincer grasp, otherwise he will just rake them up with his fist. Choking really shouldn't be an issue, just watch him with them so he doesn't take more than 1 at a time.

Don't give too many because you don't want your baby to get full on it and not want to have his milk. But it should be fine. If your baby is stuffing his mouth, then just put a few at a time in front of him. When he finishes what he has, then put some more. Stuffing his face is a normal behavior. My son used to this a lot also. You don't want him to stuff his mouth because, YES, he can choke! They melt in the mouth but they don't melt instantly.

He'll be fine. Just watch him carefully while he eats. Kids won't eat more than their stomachs can handle. When he's full, he'll start pushing or throwing the food onto the floor. I let my son have Gerber Graduates at his age. He loved them & I felt better about him eating this food as opposed to grown up food so soon.

sit him up in his high chair and only put a few on the tray at a time. babies can choke on lots of things, even things that are meant to melt.....too many can't melt fast enough if he swallows them whole.
