Baseball, for two reasons. It is our country's national pasttime and it has done so much to keep America's spirits up, even in times of war (making a Women's League during World War II).

I think the Olympics does the most to actually unify the country. Sporting events with teams from the United States competing against one another just tend to be divisive.

That one is easy. The 1980 Olympic Hockey team upsetting the mighty USSR on their way to the gold medal. Very exciting at a time when the country needed it.

76 Olympic Hockey Semi finals when we beat the Russians. It totally unified the country. Beating the Russians was better then winning the gold at that time. "Do you beleive in Miracles"

Olympic Hockey always brings Canadians together as a country, whether it's the men's or women's league.

I never felt more Canuck Pride than when our teams won the gold at Salt Lake City in '02. The nation went nuts.
