There was a Better Than Ezra song, Sincerely Me. I always thought he was saying "signs are telling me" but he was saying "signed, sincerely me." Funny as that's the name of the song.
I also had a friend who thought the Aerosmith song "Dude Looks Like a Lady" was actually "Do the Lucky Lady"
We got in a huge fight about it until we went to Tower Records to find the CD.

In the song White Flag by Dido...part of the chorus says

My cousin and I thought it said...

That's not too funny but we laughed a whole lot when we realized we were way off. Haha!

Does anyone remember "Electric Avenue" by Eddie Grant?! I had a friend who thought the chorus was "We gonna rock down to electric kangaroo ..."
And the Air Supply song "The One that You Love" has a line that says "Understand the one that you love ..." Another friend thought it was "I'm just Stan, the one that you love ..."
I still giggle when I think of these misquotes!!!
