guess i posted this in the wrong section before- it got deleted.
anyway, at one point in time, many moons ago, it is believed mars was just like the earth- it had an atmosphere, oceans, air, etc. could we have come from mars, like in the movies?

No. Nothing happens like the movies. This is real life and we currently and always have lived on Earth. Call me an unbeliever. . .

If, as astronomers now think, Mars had water and an atmosphere millions of years ago, then one may speculate that it had life. If it had life then it may have had intelligent life. If it did and they knew that their planet was ecologically doomed and they had the know-how and technology for space travel, then ya, we could be Martians. Of course, its all science fiction, isn't it.
You might check out "Cosmic Voyage" by Courtney Brown, PhD and the work of Richard Hoagland who has writtten extensively about "the face on Mars."

i believe that it could have been possible for a human-like creature to have come from mars to earth. mars could have well been destroyed (atmosphere, environment, etc.) by carelessness exhibited by these creatures close to that which humans have lately done with their own environment - ignoring and denying signs of global warming in order to exploit the masses for monetary gain. so, yes, i believe we could have come from mars, though i do not think it would be easy - if even possible - to proove

it does not matter where we are.....we will always question that we are or were somewhere else we always argue a fact, just to argue it.....hypothetically speaking, if we really were from mars and we were still living there......we probably would question if we were from earth. we just need to accept where we are and make the most of it...besides our ball is bigger........mars is small....women couldn't buy shoes, rednecks couldnt keep cars in the yard, and gays couldnt come out of the closet....all because it is too small...so be happy you are from earth

That is a theory called, in general terms, Transpermia .... it is very possible but there is, as of now, no way to even test the hypothesis.
