One more sobriety-induced power ballad will convince me to take drugs. I know -- Aerosmith isn't that relevant to the youngsters anymore, but thought I'd ask.

Hell yes, Back then they made music that rocked, Mama Kin Sweet Emotion, Dream On. Nowadays like the SNL skit that had all Aerosmiths greatest hits and they all were the same song played overand over

Not better, just different.
While I love their older music, let's not forget that the first song that ever hit number 1 for Aerosmith was, "I don't want to miss a thing".
Either way, I'm a fan.

I have loved them on and off drugs. I think they could teach a lot of the up and comers so much about handling fame. They have been around enough to have realized how it should be done. And they haven't done a lot of power ballads, period. So, I still love them. I even liked most of "Honkin on Bobo", their blues album. Some good covers.

Oh, PLEEEEEASE!!!...
It's better seeing a clean-and-sober Steven Tyler and Joe Perry trying to perform "Dude Looks Like a Lady" than a doped-up, washed-out pair of junkies slurring those same lyrics on stage...
Besides, Steven wants to be a better role model for his actress-model-daughter, Liv(and any grandkids he may have)...
Right?

mmm - probably....there are plenty of others too that fit in that catgory as well. it's a shame but what are you going to do ? I think most of us need some kind of un-inhibitant to be able to reveal one's soul thru any form of art. I know I have the same problem too.

Yes..because they were very creative until Done with Mirrors, and after that they hired outside sources to help them write hits.

Well,of course they were!,but I still like most of their stuff anyways.They are always blasting in the car!! My favorite at the moment is Angel.

my philosophy is It's really great that they are all sober, they can at least remember the shows now.. Aerosmith has always rocked for me.. and always will...
