The most overrated player in the NFL? I think it's Eli Manning. He hasn't done anything yet, but they tout him as one of the best ever. He chokes under pressure, even worse than his brotehr, but doesn't put up stats like Peyton does. I think before they put him in the Hall of Fame, he needs to actually win some important games and lead the league in some important stats. I am not saying he is bad, but just overrated at this point in his career.
Other overrated: Shaun Alexander (without the o-line where would he be?), Michael Strahan and Ty Law.
The most underrated player? Hmm... How about Lemar Marshall? As a linebacker for Washington last year, he had 96 tackles, 77 solo and 4 interceptions. He also scored a touchdown. He has been a cog the last two seasons in one of the top rated defenses in the league, yet he gets no hype at all. With Arrington gone, maybe he will have an even better season this year.
Other underrated: Joey Harrington (they put him in the fire too soon and it messed up his head. In the right system, I think he can be good), Mario Williams (look out, he has a chip on his shoulder) and Donnie Edwards (averaged over 130 tackles the last 9 seasons).
Biggest Suprise? Again, another Redskin. With Al Saunders as the new Offensive Coordinator I think Mark Brunell will put up MVP type numbers like he did several years ago with the Jags. As long as the O-line doesn't have any catastrophic injuries, I think he will have so many weapons at his disposal that he can easily pass for over 4000 yards and 30 TDs. I think this will make for a nice transition next year for Jason Campbell, who seems to have great potential. If Brunell gets hurt, maybe Campbell could have a great coming out party this year, but I just don't see that happening yet.
Breakout years: Lofa Tatupu (yes, he will be even better), Reggie Bush (not a surprise, but he will be ROY) and Chris Cooley (tight ends put up great numbers is Saunders offense [Tony Gonzalez anyone?] and Cooley has great hands).

The most overrated player is Michael Vick because he can't throw at all. You can't play quaterback and not be able to throw. The most underrated player is Deangelo Hall. He is quockly becoming a shutdown corner in the Nfl. Last year he shut down Terell Owens, one of the best recieivers in the NFL. The biggest surprise will be Shaun Alexander. He likes to run between the tackles, and he lost arguably the best lineman in the league in Steve Hutchinson. Plus, he has the Madden curse.

Most overrated: Tom Brady -- Let's see how many 3-point Super Bowls he wins with Stephen Gostkowski or Martin Gramatica as his kicker! (Michael Vick is a very, very close second)
Most underrated: DeAngelo Hall -- He's poised to become the best cornerback in football.
Biggest surprise: Jon Kitna -- With the guy running a Mike Martz offense and throwing to Roy Williams, Charles Rogers, Mike Williams, Corey Bradford, Marcus Pollard, Kevin Jones and Eddie Drummond... this guy could have a monster year.
