Call your doctor's office and speak with a nurse. Describe what you are feeling and let the medical professionals decide whether or not you need to be seen. At this stage in your pregnancy, some pressure is normal -- however, you may be in labor and not have the "normal" symptoms. Don't take any chances. Call your doctor. Tell them up front that you don't want to waste your day in the E.R. (Although, a pregnant woman in the E.R. usually doesn't have to wait very long....) They may want you to come in for an office visit. I am not a medical professional, but at this point in your pregnancy, you just never know. If you have any water leakage, you will need to head to the hospital immediately.
One rule of thumb I learned in Lamaze classes -- if you can fall asleep, it's not labor.

I've been having the same problem, but at night when I go to sleep, it's your pelvic stretching. As far as I'm aware by my doctor, this is normal. To help relieve the pain take Tylenol, warm bath and just try to relax with your feet up. I'm due the end of July and I can't stand this pain.
Don't go to the ER!!!!!!!! Call your doctor first if it's that bad. You will be stuck in the er forever and usually to find out nothings wrong. Always check with your doctor pregnant woman go to the maternity ward not the ER.

The first thing I would recommend is GO TO YOUR DOCTOR!
You are 8 months pregnant, pressure will be there. Are you spotting? If you are GO TO YOUR DOCTOR or emergency ward. Not wanting to go to the ER because you do not want to stay all day is not an excuse, your life and your babies life is at stake if you feel something is wrong! Please, sweetheart, listen to an Italian mom, life is precious and so are you. You will not find out if you are dilated if you do not GO TO THE DOCTOR. God Bless you & your baby.

It sounds like the baby is just getting into position. you will know when you start to dialate, it is a differant kind of pain. The baby is probably just putting pressure on the bladder, if the pain becomes severe and you are worried, go see your doctor. Good Luck and Congadulations!!!!

Unless you are having regular contractions or your water breaks you're just fine. As long as your baby is active from time to time (if not recently you can drink a little caffeine to check, like a soda)your baby is fine too. I was uncomfortable for most of my pregnancies it sometimes part of the deal.

We're talking about your baby, here. Your CHILD. Get it checked out even if you have to (OMG) sacrifice your day to the emergency room.
