If I feel one coming on early enough, a little of my regualr ol' baking soda & peroxide toothpaste dabbed on will stop it in its tracks. Just water it down a bit with warm water so it will penetrate the skin, or apply it after laying a warm washcloth on your face for a minute or so, to open your pores.

Okay, so in addition to daily cleaning and drinking lots of water...

Avoid anti-bacterial soap. It can dry and irritate, actually causing extra oil production and pimples. Instead, use a gentle cleanser for sensitive skin.

Use warm, not hot, water to wash your face. Then, steam open your pores. You can buy steamers for this. I never have. I just put a pan of water on the stove and when it starts to boil, I hold my face over the steam (high enough above not to scald!!!).

Exercising will also work if you work hard enough to make your all your pores open with sweat. Most people sweat profusely from certain areas, while the worst acne areas (chin, nose, and forehead) don't do much. A steam room or the steaming method is quick, just five minutes to a good sweat.

Acne is hormonal. Nutrition is important because it keeps the skin as an organ in good working order. Certain foods, while they don't "cause" acne, do give some people problems. Caffeine affects hormone levels. People who are food sensitive will find that their body reacts to that food, dairy is a good example of that.

So, eat healthy... steam the pores... avoid irritants... and of course keep daily cleansing and drinking lots of water.

I think even if you've got the best beauty regimin in the world, you're still gonna get the occassional pimple. :( Not much you can do. Use a generic benzoyl peroxide ointment on it and it'll go away faster.

use cetaphil gentle cleanser... recommended by dermatologist... it's very gentle and inexpensive (large bottle approx. $10 and last a long time)... i've worked for lancome, prescriptives, and dior before. working with all those lines, i've tried a lot of stuff, and this seems to work the best. you can buy it at wal-mart or drug stores...don't pick at your skin!

Quite simply eat more green vegetables - pimples and boils are a sure sign of a deficiency.

EXERCISE because when you sweat your pores open up and just clean your face with water and you shouldn't have many problems with pimples.
