Is black eyeliner to much for my eyes?

Thanks.

I don't think black is too much as long as you put gobs of it on. I have the same coloring as you only my hazel eyes are more of a brown than green. I've been using a medium brown eyeliner and it looked pretty good but I just started using purple eyeliner and it really brings out my eyes. I also use either light purple, blues, or greys for my eyeshadows. I've used earth tones before but it made me look washed out. When I started using the blues and greys and purples, it made me look not so washed out and I actually enjoy wearing makeup now that I found the right colors for me.

If your hazel is brown/gold/green, try a subtle purple on the eyes (blend well). It will make the gold & green really shine.
Black eyeliner may be a bit harsh, but if you apply it right, you can work with it. I prefer a dark grey, myself, and you should always apply to the lash line, rather than on the edge there right next to your eyeball. I think it looks trashy, anyway, but that's just my opinion.
People will tell you that neutral tones are good in shadows. I have medium to dark brown hair, and my eyes have gone from brown as a kid, to hazel by 12, to dark green (w/ yellow flecks) at 15. I also have a fair complexion.
If you're addicted to black eyeliner, stick with brown-based (or camel) shadows, with maybe a plum color about the crease. If you're willing to try grey or purple, you'll want to base w/ a pale pink (maybe something called cashmere?) from lash to brow, a pale violet on the eyelid, and a darker purple or plum in the crease & outer corner of the lid (these colors accentuate green in the eyes).
You may also try a medium or dark brown liner, but that'll go with your neutral shades. If you want to lighten it up all around, go with brown liner & brown-black mascara, like CG Professional. Use a light camel color from lash to brow, light to medium brown or bronze on the eyelid, and a darker brown in the crease.
If you use multiple colors, ALWAYS drag a blush or powder brush across your eyes to BLEND. Just be sure you dust it off on a towel or something first.

Black eyeliner is not too dark, I have dark brown eyes and hair, but I am dark complected. I personally think that earth tones, browns, golds, soft greens etc look AWESOME with brown eyes, or hazel in your case. Brown eyeliner is good too if you are going for a more natural look. Hope this helped! Good luck!

Greens, tans and light browns with cream highlights for eye shadows, will really make your eyes seem larger. The tans and light browns will enlarge your eyes... and the greens and creams will highlight and bring out the recessive colors in your hazel eyes. And yes use an eye liner... but for daytime, use a dark brown and for evenings use a black... and a shimmering cream for your eye shadows for night dress up... Use a dark brown mascara for daytime and black for evenings... As for lipstick, use a neutral, or natural for daytime and a bright color for evening to match you nail polish. I was a theater makeup artist for the stage players... Hope this helps.

Brown eyeliner and brown earthy tones always makes a good match for people with our skin type... You're good with black, but don't line in to dark. Back to the eye shadow: shimmery micah powder is the best everything make-up anyone can buy. You should definitely invest a little in it. :)

Just like me... I use black eyeliner all the time. It's not too much. I prefer purple or brown eyeshadows.

I have the same features and as far as I could see and I have been told that I can use both cool and warm tones. Earth tones are best though. Black eyeliner won't be too much as long not too thick!

in case you do not choose some thing too dramatic, save the colours sheer! i imagine you would seem remarkable utilising red tones, a particularly shimmery Lilac or Lavender. it would make those hazel eyes pop and promises them a tad better eco-friendly!! FYI - Almay has a line it quite is particular hues for diverse eye hues. they have one in hazel! merely sweep that on your lid, upload a sprint of mascara, some lip gloss and also you particularly female, are waiting to bypass! reliable success :o)
