Aspartame is the worst thing for you and your baby. Just look it up on the internet. It damages the brain!! AND stay off the POP. Look that up also. Drink 100% juices...if it is to expensive..water it down. AND also...drink water...more and more and more. Washes out the toxins in the body and hydrates. Good luck and Good Health.

Basically, Aspartame is bad pregnant of not. You should not drink it while pregnant. Look up some sources on the net to support what i just said. Cut back then stop altogether.

Actually, asparame is horrible for you, pregnant or not.
When I was preg. & nursing, my Dr. told me that the chemicals added to diet soda are much more harmful than real sugar... I drank caffeine free pepsi.. not diet, just caffeine free.
Even in that, there are so many chemicals to remove the natural caffeine in soda... So I think you are better off drinking only 1 regular soda a day, and try to cut back.. maybe go down to 1/2 soda per day, then taper off slowly.
I drank soda throughout, and I don't think it's a huge deal as long as you're not overdoing it... It's not alcohol, smoking, or drugs, so I wouldn't worry too much -- so many moms drink coffee during pregnancy.. yours is just a cold version.. just take it easy, no worries
Good luck with your baby!! Congrats!

I think it really does cause cancer but I have a great website for you to check out if you are worried. I drink caffeine free regular coke. I had to look around for it but I found it. I will not drink diets. Saccharin aspartame or sucralose, its bad stuff.

This is serious so please ask your doctor. When aspartame first came out I used it and it made my eyesight blurry, so for some people it's bad and this is a time when you don't want to do anything that could cause a problem with your pregnancy. Maybe think of it as another positive thing you're doing for your child.

it's the most commonly used sweetener and has proven to be safe during pregnancy but dr's like it to be used in moderation since sweeteners aren't good for you in the first place. caffiene should be avoided the first 3 months of pregnancy since it is more risky for miscarriage. i drank caffiene free diet coke when i was pregnant the whole time. women are supposedly allowed up to 2 cups of coffee a day while pregnant but i thought that was a bit much.

aspartame is bad for you anytime - try getting carbonated water like (maybe club soda) and putting in fruit juice - also caffeine is not good for the baby - its only a short time 9 months compared to the rest of your life so just think of not having these things as temporary & dont view as pernament.

Pop isn't that great for you while you are pregnant nayways. Caffeine isn't good for the baby either. There are a lot of sacrifices that you need to make while you are pregnant. You may want to look into a proper diet for yourself.
