I don't have a cat but I have a ferret. I have done extensive amounts of research on owning ferrets and know one thing that may help to answer your question. One of the worst combinations of animals to have together is cats and ferrets. Before getting my ferret, I was reading and it said to never get a cat if you have a ferret. Now, I know that all cats and ferrets are unique, so yes, there's a chance they will get along, but it is not recommended to own both at once. I would suggest not having them out together at the same time or having them restricted to different areas. =D

lol yes, my cats would follow the ferret around and as soon as the ferret tried to play with the cats they would freak out and hide.
