It means you haven't had sexual intercourse with another person yet.
Just because you do other sexual things or use tampons doesn't mean you're not a virgin. (i've discovered this is a common misconception amongst young teens.) When I was younger (many moons ago, lol) i used to go to a website called www.gurl.com and it really helped me figure out all this stuff with sex and my body and relationships. Virgin means no sexual contact. Oral sex IS sex. Intercourse IS sex. Anything you do that can transmit an Sexually transmitted disease to someone else is sex. Period. and yes you can get herpes from oral sex. There is no cure for herpes.
You are a virgin if you never have done any of the above things.
