Is it rude for someone to not return your calls? I needed to ask my "friend" a question and so far have only been able to talk to his voice-mail. He has the bad habit of saying he never gets my messages but I know for a fact that he does. A mutual friend of ours says that he does not want to hurt my feelings or he doesn't want to do what I have asked him. I have no problems with him telling me no, I do have a problem with his not returning my calls. If he tells me no then I just move on. If I were to have a problem with his refusal to help me then It is my problem not his. I just think that he is being a coward for not returning my calls. Obviously the answer is no to the question that I wanted toask him but I sure wish he had the nerve to tell me. Am I wrong to be upset about his non-answer? thanx. By the way, we are both adults, not high schoolers. No reflection on highschoolers!

it's not the friendship part that bothers me it is the rudeness of returning phonecalls. If someone called you and asked you for help would YOU ignore them or give them the courtesy of a return phonecall?

I guess its his way of saying he doesnt want to respond but he is not comfortable with being open about his feelings. It seems that you are trying to hold on to something that simply is not happening.
Give up the idea of getting anything from him then you wont prolong your pain and he would then wonder where you have gone. Take your power back and move on!!!!!

He doesn't want to be your friend anymore. Just move on.

Forget it. Forget your friend, and move on with your life.
