Because you haven't tried Fat Tire yet. You know how all new meat tastes like chicken? All new beer tastes like bud. It's the base flavor of beer, without any added taste. (Also, I'd recommend switching to bottles, because if you're drinking out of a can, you're tasting can.

If you think that Bud is the King of Beers that it claims to be, then your experience with beer is very limited. For American beers, try the different varieties of Sam Adams or any Magic Hat microbrew. For other beers, check BeerAdvocate.com and see if they can tell you where other, better beers are sold in your area from around the world.
