Shell Projects?

All the way back in April we went to Florida and now we are stuck with tons of shells!!! What are some cool projects I can do with my shells?

Buy inexpensive "cigar" boxes at a craft store and decorate the outside of the boxes with shells, make sure you use hot glue gun to secure, and an acrylic overcoat to keep them looking shiny.
Or, turn the box into a purse by adding a handle. most craft stores have all kinds of purse making materials, line the inside with a pretty fabric.
You can also decorate clear acrylic photo frames to put all those gorgeous pics from the beach.
Buy a roll of magnetic tape to make your own shell refrigerator magnets.
Border a mirror with shells!
Drill holes into smaller shells to make jewelry.

Don't forget you can paint shells with any color paint to make your project more colorful, adding water to an acrylic paint will thin the paint so you can still see the shell's details.
To add a little "glitz" add glitter (the smaller the glitter, the prettier it will be)....glitter dust is best for shells.

i put then in a vase and use them as a base for fake flowers, put in a vase or other glass dish and display them in bathroom, use them to fill the inside of a glass lamp and then super glue extra shells on the lamp shade !!!
