How do you get rid of a AOL mail account?

I signed up for it a year ago now i want to close my account but i don't know how and i have type "close account" on help search. it didn't help me much. Can someone please help me.

call tech support and they can close the account for you

dont use it evenyually it will shut its self down. your welcome!
