Robins are found on home lawns, pulling up those worms. Have you seen the pictures of the robin cocking its head to find that tasty worm? It is the belief of some biologists that worms are found NOT by hearing but by sight. Other types of insects and even small snakes make up part of their diet. But American Robins LOVE fruit with cherries, grapes, choke cherries, and tomatoes high on their favorite food list. Robins near the sea will also eat mollusks and tiny fish.

They find a damp area where the worms are coming up, then they look at the ground and find where the dirt moves. You can figure out what happens next :) Mostly they just look for wet ground though.

Hey bluevandura2002,
Well bird would seem like they only eat worms but it is not true.They as well from worms they eat cocroaches ,beetles ,fish
guts,and much more stuff. but they get worms by looking on the ground for them and in small holes in there nest and in trees.I hope I was help please pick me for best answer!!!!!
