My wife and I are looking to develop a business opportunity in Costa Rica. We both have great management backgrounds, and we were curious as to what the market opportunity in Costa Rica is like, what are great business opportunities in Costa Rica, and with whom can we speak to locally to assist with marketing products and services to Costa Rica. So, if you could sell something to Costa Rica, what would it be. I know what one sells is often a function of one's background, interest and skills- we're in the exploration phase. What would be great in Costa Rica?

A good start is the CIA World Factbook (see link below). If you can get to a library look up Costa Rica in Croner's Export Guide and then contact the Dept of Trade for information on the market.
if you reside outside Britain, your country's Trade Ministry should be able to help. Many countries have commercial officers at embassies in the country and, for a fee, will assess market opportunities for you.
