It came with a ribbon, but I will obviously eventually need to buy a new one.

Take the old ribbon out of the typewriter. It should be on two spools or in a cartridge. Take the ribbon and spools or cartridge to any office supply store and they will match the spool and ribbon type. If you intend to use the typewriter a lot for years to come, buy a couple of extra ribbons now. With the advent of computers and printers, typewriter ribbon is becoming harder and harder to find.

most old typewrites ribbons are the same size i feel sure if you go to a shop they will know what you need
