Depending on the piano and where you live, far in the country may have travel time involved, about $75 - $125 cnd. If the piano is way out of tune or has been out for some time, you may have to get it re-tuned in about 6 months. After that it should stay tuned for quite some time.
Have it tuned by a reputable person that is associated with a store, or better yet, a repair centre. This way you'll have an established firm to deal with.

Get an estimate before you hire a piano tuner.
Let's just say that it is two hours of work. Do you think that $100 is fair?
