I think you mean Buffalo and not Bull...and it depends on a few different factors...HOWEVER, if indeed it is a bull....I would say it's worth lots because it would be one of a kind. Search www.google.com for buffalo nickel values.

The value of coins depend very much on their physical condition (and date). The coin you described was not issued in 1838. This tells me the coin is worn and worth, TA DAAH, 5 cents.

Based on the fact that you can't read the date clearly, I'd say about 50 cents at the most. Probably not that much.
OBTW it has to be a 1938.

You have to take into consideration three things
1-the year the coin was made
2-condition of coin
and last the mint mark.
If there is a flaw in any of these three things then your money isn't going to be worth anything but face value.
