I have a Creative Zen Vision M and a Creative Microphoto.

I rent music from Yahoo Music Unlimited To Go for $10 a month pre-paid for a year. I have over 1000 songs on each player so that works out to a penny a song a month which is cheaper than buying them. There are other subscription music services as well including Rhapsody To Go and Napster To Go.

That is the cheapest legal way to download and fill a music player. Note that most of the music shared on file sharing services and peer to peer networks are illegal distributions of copyrighted works. Downloading from them is stealing and piracy.

With subscriptions, song purchases are 79 cents a song from Yahoo, Rhapsody, and Napster.

Walmart sells music downloads for 88 cents a song.

eMusic is selling songs for 25 cents a song. I've not used it.
