I gave him up and now I know what I lost. I have groveled, taken responsiblity and apologized. He says he loves me..he also said he had to get over me..he was so hurt.
I need to make it right - how do I do this?

It may not be possible.

Really your best course of action is to do what you have already said, but I would also add that you are willing to give him the time to come to the same realisation that you have and that you will be there if he needs you.

Also you may have to come to realize that you may not get back together, I know that is something that is hard to comprehend but it is a strong possibility.

But overall just make sure that you are there for him when he needs a friend. Worse comes to worse you have a great close personal friend that you can confide with.

You just need to move on with your life now. If he hasn't accepted your apology then its time you put it in the past. There are bigger and brighter fish out in the sea.

You can't. It's a matter of trust. How is he to know that you won't get his hopes up again and then dump him once more.

Why should he go through all that again. He's move on, leave him in peace.

Oh heck, baby; don't you know how much that hurts?

Please don't play with him again.

You're a good girl, now leave him alone.

you have to build his trust all over again. tell him that it took your mistake to realize what a good thing you were missing.

my bet is you get back with him and leave him again. that's what he's affraid of.
