No - adultery may be hurtful and wrong but it's not criminal - the state should not get involved in people's lives on a personal level.

I'm confused by why so many people who are against same sex marriage quote the Bible when explaining why it is wrong, but none of these people seem to think that adultery is a big deal even though it is part of the ten commandments and according to the Bible, the punishment should be "death by stoning." (Deuteronomy 22:21 ff, John 8:4,5)

Just what we need.......... more people in prison.
You cannot legislate this type of morality. It is not like pubic indecency or anything. I don't believe that all religions even address the subject of infidelity.
What we should concentrate on is teachers having sex with their students. But making everything a crime punishable by incarceration is ridiculous. You can't remove so many people from society. The cost is staggering; about $40,000 to keep every person in prison. Some cost considerably more.

No, The country is getting too involved with sex. Grand theft auto: San Andreas was only kicked up in its ESRB rating because of third party sex scenes you could only acess online. This is a game that supports violence and drugs, two things that america "declared war on" years ago. I thought that puritans ran the country in the seventeenth century, not the twenty first.

Absolutely not. It is so much harder to have a law repealed than to enact it in the first place. More laws equal less freedom. There is already a stranglehold on other aspects of our lives that have nothing to do with criminal violations other than the fact that some fool wrote it down on paper.

Yes, Sex is really the only thing sacred in a marriage these days. Everything else you can get from outside the marriage (kids, emotional support, etc) and people don't bat an eye anymore.

Definitively not- what next the state will tell you how often to sleep with your wife? how many children to have? what to eat? who to talk to? ad nauseam.....people cheat for a reason try addressing that issue rather than criminalising something that is and has been a feature of all relationships everywhere since times immemorial.

That depends on the situation, i personally would never cheat on my wife ,she is my best friend, that is why we got married, but if you aren't getting the goods at home, and your partner will not try and help the situation out by doing things that turn you on then i would have to see some ones reasoning for cheating. i't is still very possible to love someone, but be attracted to someone else.
i would't support it .
