going to the movies with my nine-year-old twins. We just saw "Cars", together, with my wife of course. They all brought their friends with them and sat in different places( boy and a girl). We problably spent more than 25 dollars, double that with concessions, but who's counting? This was one movie that I enjoyed as much as they did. Usually, I go along somewhat grudgingly, because the humor is aimed at a young audience. But "Cars" could be appreciated on different levels, like "Shrek." Spending money to be with my family is always a bargain.

Hmmmm...so many ways to please myself for $25 or less.

But, since it's on my mind...I'm going with finding a new bottle of wine. For me choosing a new wine is kind of like gambling, because ya just really never know if you're going to pick a winner or not. You consult your wine guides, ask other people, but ultimately you plonk down your cash and hope that it shows and finishes nicely.

Buy some ice cream and cookies, turn the phones off, lock the gates, and watch tv and eat all of the ice cream and cookies in peace and quiet.

I would buy a ice cream from the ice cream man for whatever kid happens to be on my block at that moment--even the ones that I don't like.

I would take an over-worked, working couple's 3 kids out for ice cream, so they might find a minute for themselves!!

$9.25 for a movie ticket, $10.75 for the popcorn/drink combo (super deal) and $5.00 left over to buy ice cream after the show.
