Whatever year it was in the Roman/Judaic calendar at the time. It actually took quite a while after the 'death' of Christ (assuming this is all true, of course) before Europeans (due to Roman influence) began recording time BC and AD.

In the days of Jesus the solar calendar had not been developped fully and certainly not the modern solar calendar. They used a lunar calendar at that time and it was based for Jews on number of years since the escape from Egypt. Unfortunately we do not have an exact number for that. Hard to judge with that much time passing.

The jews are big on time so i am sure they had a calendar of their own dating back at least 1500 years when Christ was born so I think he probably used that . I think they still use it. Any jews on here that can tell us goyim what the year was then?
It was about the year 2700 in China,

Somewhere in the late 3700s.
The extrapolated date January 1, 1AD would be during Tevet, during the 3761st year of the Jewish calendar
