the glue in plywood originally has a strong smell. how do i neutralize it?

Use a fan and keep it open. It needs to breathe. It will go away eventually. If all else fails spray it with room deodorizer so it smells pretty

because they were painted an then closed then wrapped in plastic. when they are opened the smell is being let out for the first time.
