I can't really speak for Yahoo, but any email system goes down or gets slow from time to time. The larger the amount of people using email may have something to do with it, or upgrades may happen on the backend, there are a lot of things that can cause the slowdown. Additionally, something could be going on on your end, perhaps your internet connectivity experienced a slowdown. I've used Yahoo mail for years though, pretty happy with it.

If you are on Directway/Hughsnet Satillite internet service that is normal. It goes down all the time.
Don't bother calling support because you will spend hours on the phone and not fix your problem.

cause there is about 60 zillion people a day using it, and once in a while all the connections are gonna be full

traffic issues.. just try to run in a freeway on rush hours... you can't
