Somehow they used the signature from that check he wrote them and forged the papers to deposit all the money into that fake bank account, what they originally were trying to do. And they distributed all of that money to the employees with his signature. And you know how Enron fell in real life and it's funny that guy got a job with Enron not knowing what's going to happen in the future. It's a joke.

This movie was about the corporate malfeasance that happened and drove the company into bankruptcy, in other words, the CEO (played by Alec Baldwin) was stealing the company, it's shareholders and the employees blind.
The final scene has a former co-worker of Carrey's character (Dick), saying he got a job with a new company.....which happens to be ENRON. If you don't know what happened at Enron, google search the name.....the ending ws supposed to ironic, but it, like the movie, was weak....the original with George Segal & Jane Fonda was much better...

The company he signed on with was Enron, which has been in trouble for a few years (I think?) now, but at the time the movie was supposed to be taking place, it looked like a lucrative prospect. It was just supposed to be a bit of irony at the end, that's all.
Also, I guess they just regrouped their lives and were living a little downsized, but happy.

They got away with the scam and got back at the old crazy boss guy. The guy said he signed with ENRON. The exact thing happened to ENRON in real life as happened with Jim Carreys company in the movie.

If I remember the movie correctly, he said he signed with a new company, Enron. Since the movie is supposed to take place a few years ago. Enron failed majorly. And after the company he was with failed, now he signed with a new company that we all know failed as well.
