Good question. God created us to know him (Read Acts 17:24-28 in the Bible),
"He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn't live in man-made temples, and human hands can't serve his needs -- for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need. From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided before hand when they would live, and where they would live.
His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel the way toward him and find him -- though he is not far from any one of us."

The reason why God sometimes sends suffering is for one purpose. That purpose is to drawing people closer to himself. He wants all meant to be saved and to come to a knowledge of him, he loves people. He loves you and wants you to be with him for eternity.

Hope that helps.

This is a very deep question and so many people ask the same question without ever getting a definite answer. But there is a definite answer and it is in your Bible.

Let's talk about why we are suffering.

When leaders from some religions are asked these questions, a response sometimes given can be, "God works in mysterious ways" or, "He permits death to be with His child in heaven."

But look at what Job 34:10 says, "Therefore, YOU ment of heart, listen to me. Far be it from the true God to act wickedly, And the Almighty to act injustly!"

So if according to this Bible text, God can not act wickedly, how can people say that it is God causing all this suffering? It doesn't make any sense.

Think about all the bad things that are happening these days. Look at the results of war, there's so much death and hatred involved. There's famine, deadly diseases, poverty... the list goes on. Is it really God, who is the "God of love" (1 John 4:8) causing all this suffering on this earth?

Look in the Bible and read 1 John 5:19. It says, "The world is lying in the power of the wicked one."
Now read Revelation 12:9. It states, "So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him."

What?

Okay, Satan intentionally went against God's word. He is the one who led Adam and Eve to sin in the Garden of Eden. He made God apear to be a liar and a bad ruler and as if the world would be better without God (Genesis 3:2-5), .

So what is God to do now? Does he destroy Satan and the angels that sided with him?

Think of this illustration. A teacher is teaching his classroom how to solve a difficult problem. Then out comes a student, clever yet rebellious, and says that he knows so much more than the teacher, that the teacher doens't know what he is doing, and that he, the student, is more qualified for the job. Some of the other students agree with the rebellious student. What would happen if the teacher were to throw the rebellious student out of his class? How would it affect the other students who witnessed what happened? Respect would be lost for that teacher, would it not? So, the teacher allows the student to show what he knows and how he would solve the problem. Once the student shows that he can't solve the problem, the rest of the students in the classroom would know that the teacher is the only one there qualified for the job.

God did the same thing with Satan. All the angels were watching what was happening. God is also just (Isaiah 61:8). Had He not been just, we would all be forced to honor Him, he would have not let us choose if we want to follow His word or not. We were born with free will.

So, God is allowing Satan to present his case and, at the same time, He is not helping Satan prove himself. It is all up to him. God hasn't stopped him from trying to prove himself.

The results: our suffering.

Another reason we suffer so much is because of we are imperfect. It's been proven time and time again that imperfect humans strive for power or dominance resulting in oppression and suffering (Ecclesiastes 4:1; 8:9).

Don't be burdened with the thoughts that God is the one causing all the suffering for us. We were not created with that purpose. We were meant to live in the paradise that Adam and Eve lost for us so long ago. But have faith, God does have plans for us, for a better future. A life without pain, tears, and suffering.

Revelation 21:4, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

hi Moony, i think that a lot of human beings sense a similar way you do, yet in truth God isn't the guy causing all the topic matters in this Earth. We as human beings can make our personal lives stop depressing with out God's help. we are the single which commence wars, we are those that reason starvation by ability of forcing human beings of the land and into ref. camps, and we are those that pollute the Earth just about previous fix. Human suffering will be traced proper again to our personal again yards, and has no longer some thing to do with God in any respect. human beings do although use God as an excuse to bully different individuals and salary wars. definite that's we ourselves that reason all the suffering. We construct our cities in flood straight forward and then whinge that God would not care at the same time as the intense water floods our houses and agencies. Why can we save blaming God for the topic matters we reason ourselves?

Have you ever thought maybe the devil is making us suffer? God loves us and hates to see us destroy ourselves which is why Jesus was sent to save us, we just mess it all up again and again and again because we sorta bad people. But God created us because if you think about it (OR READ THE BIBLE) there wasn't anything before he created the world and he may have wanted someone to love.
I know you won't pick anyone who loves Jesus as the best answer, but what the hey, you needed educating

Well I'm going to comment on the last part of the question only...

I would ask myself why I feel that I am suffering. It is up to YOU to have that superbly wonderful day, not God.

It is up to YOU to be lucky. It is up to YOU to be beautiful. It is up to YOU to use the gifts that you were born with. It is up to YOU to be a loving and compassionate human being. It is truly up to you.

If you decide that suffering is where you want to be, then be there. If you decide that suffering in NOT want you want out of life, then change that ideal. It is because of this freedom that we have been granted (by whatever God you worship) that dictates the way we live our lives and see the fruits of our labor come to culmination. It is completely up to you. Change the things that need changing, only YOU can do it.

Why God? Why? Why did you make this person be plagued with such bad grammer? I thought you were an all knowing and benevolent deity, you have proven yourself wrong!

And the answer to your question...there is no God, he didn't create you, your mom and dad did, and we're suffering on this earth because them's the brakes.

"Suffer" is a perception.......

FREE WILL is 100%.

God isn't making us suffer, our choices combined create this experience...... while it is up to each of us what we perceive as "suffer" or "success".

This is a CONDITIONAL reality..... God is UNconditional LOVE.

God is LOVE, TRUTH, JOY, LOGIC, LIFE.......

Your body is WHAT you are IN, not WHO you are.
Your body is a GIFT for you to experience FREE WILL here.......

Ask yourself, "What would LOVE do now?" and be the best version of that you can be........

God isn't something separate from you..... God is HOW you are able to BE you.

God is LOVE..... God loves you..... the question is more, do YOU love you?
It is pretty difficult to imagine God is Love if you haven't figured out how to forgive yourself.....

Remind yourself, God is real and will not give you more than you can handle.

God is the one "thing" that is everywhere, all ways.

God is not making you suffer, whites are making you suffer. Don't worry they do not have the genetic fortitude to last much longer. Even their fertility drugs, cloning, and looking for a hiding place on other planets will not save them... and of course deep down they know it.

He is not making us suffer, we are suffering because we want to suffer! He created us to grow and evolve, to leave the material behind and become spiritual!!!

Asking this question to people is a waist of time, if you want to really know the Bible will tell you. But I assure he has nothing to do with suffering.
