Humans have been this way for Milena. This race hates what they do not , or refuse to understand. It sickens me the sh*t we all have to put up with....+_+

You pretty much answered you own question.
We are a bit ignorant, it is hard to accept anything that is not considered the norm by the bigger majority.
I am a totally straight female. With age comes acceptance, things that I thought were just "wrong" when I was younger, don't even register as a concern any more.
Another thing that I have that other people may not, a set of very good friends that are gay. They have been together forever.
They respond to each other the EXACT same way I react to my partner. They argue, plan, cook and talk about the same things we do. They have the same concerns we do about wrinkles, lack of energy, and fear of all your hair turning gray.
It is impossible to understand something you have no personal experence with.
I am sure it is just as difficult for you to understand the straight lifestyle. It probably just looks wierd and out-of-place to you.
I don't think you will see any huge changes in your lifetime, but like I said, with time comes acceptance.

Unfortunately I fear we will always ask this question. The only thing that I have came up with is that people are just simply ignorant. They don't want to except something they don't know about. They were all told from the beginning that gay people are "evil" what a shock when they get to know us. I'm a nurse and most people freak when they find out, then some realize I am no different from you. Just love yourself for who you are and forget the ones that choose not to understand.

Most of the people seem to be shocked by what is different. It's especially true when it comes to gay lifestyle.
So it's not only a matter of ignorance: it's even worst, some kind of basic rejection, especially when it's about sex.
Plus all these religious aspects of moral, etc... plus the media who still give the gay people a twisted/silly image.
What counts is to feel good with what you are.
Never mind what they miss. Leave them in their small silly world
Love and kisses

there are so many misleading things said about gays! I'm ready for everyone to accept the idea that what gender you are attracted to should not matter! I'm an ordained minister and I see no sin in loving another of the same gender.I even am more than willing to help them out with a marriage cermony and ways to get around most of the laws that are against gay couples.I'd love to see gay marriage made legal!

You hear folks all the time screaming about how the gays/lesbians CHOOSE to be gay! Well I say these very same folks CHOOSE to be ignorant. Ignorance is a choice. Chemical make-up is not. I guarantee that those screaming hell-fire and damnation have never actually taken the time to talk to a gay person. Shockingly, we're very capable of conversation, intelligence, and (gasp) EMOTIONS!!!

Why are people so ignorant...because most people are afraid of change from thier "normal"...In thier mind, being gay is not normal, gay marraige is not normal, therefore, anything to do with gay culture is not normal, so they don't even bother with trying to understand... which brings on hate or conversion..C'mon, I think everyone has witnesssed it on here countless of times, questions saying that we, the LGBT population are going to hell, and the answers with quotes from the Bible, shunning all gay people...

I agree with one of the answers above me...They're ignorant because they don't understand(which is preety much you're question), but they don't understand, because they fear change, whether good or bad, even if it doesn't effect them...

They have nothing else to do. Maybe there just jealous. I'm straight, but I don't see nothing wrong with gay life'styles. Everyone has the right to live the way they feel comfortable. Besides we are all human. We all bleed red blood when we get cut so I don't understand why people can't just shut up and let others live their lifes.

Cause they have a messed up life so they try to put down others to make themselves feel better. If they make us look bad, then they can say "hey they are worse than me so I must be goin to heaven" but yet they dont follow their own religion which says not to judge others. Summed up, they are just ignorant.
