YUP . RACISM is everwhere and no matter how you try to get away from it you can't. people are just haters . i don't see why have to hate on each other. i 'm from brazil and i have light hazel nut eyes with light hazel nut hair i looked just like my avatar and while i'm not african- american people still hate. racist makes no sense to me. since god made us equal then it's like they're hating on their selves.

The Ku Klux Klan has been around since before the civil war. Racism is everywhere, not just the deep south. They form groups such as the KKK, or neo-nazis or they are very subtle such as a neighbor that complains about everything you do. Yes, I think it is out there - everywhere. Why is it there? Because people need to degrade others to make up for their own insecurities.

Yup, sad to say...it still exists...and I think it will for all time. However, I think those that are really extreme about it are becoming fewer, or perhaps that's wishful thinking on my part.
Racism, chauvinism, disdain for religious preferences other than your own, etc... overall, intolerance in general.
With the stresses of life in the US (fast paced - at least in Metropolitan areas, increased debt, unemployment, and the erosion of the 'American dream') I can't see that general intolerance would get any better. Lots of 'blamers' out there, people who think things that go wrong in their lives is someone else's fault, no matter the cause.

Yes I do. Everyday there are acts of racism. No matter how small they seem. At schools in the play ground is where it spreads.
