All newspapers have a wanted to rent section and many properties for rent ,,and I would bet Houston has more than one major newspaper that's how I would go..These papers will have websites to search and place an ad.

That would beat the messing around ..

no no no... I have a better answer.. I have a townhouse and have found 4 renters this way:

USE CRAIGSLIST!!! it's amazing .. just make sure you have pictures..

for houston tx, the craigslist site is:

http://houston.craigslist.org/

just put in a post under housing and you should start getting responses.
