Does the Final Fantasy XI on the 360 allow people to sign on to the same server?

What I mean is that me and a friend both have 360s and if I buy the game is it possible that me and him both can sign in on the same server. The PS2 version you have to buy a world pass to play on the same server with a friend. Has this changed with the 360 version?

from what I understand, FF XI is the first multi-platform online game, meaning that PC users will play along side PS2 users. I didn't think they had FF XI for 360, but if they do, I'm sure you will be playing with PC and PS2 users.
