I have a .pst file from Outlook off of a Mac running OS 9 and I want to be able to open it up and get an email out of it. I've tried Windows versions of Outlook and haven't been successful. Is there a way to convert it without having OS 9? I have a Mac with OSX and multiple PCs.

Yeah, I can't re-export it as I mentioned... to clarify, I have this .pst on a CD... so I don't have access to a Mac with OS 9 and outlook installed any more.

Have you tried running your classic mode on OS X? It is a OS 9 emulator. It's only on PowerPC based Macs.

The easiest way is probably going to be to take the .pst file that you have on the Mac and re-export it from Outlook on the Mac into a different file format. If you can export it into a CSV (Comma Separated Values) format you might have more luck using the import command.

I have not worked a whole lot with importing and exporting the pst' across platforms but I have had a lot of success with the import command when newer versions of office have been released or when I have done a complete reload on my pc.

If you have a more recent mac you can use this PST to Entourage converter provided my Microsoft. It should allow you to open it if successful.
