My doctor and the tec. both agreed to my baby being a girl. They both said it when the other was out of the room. I'm getting worried now because I think it's a boy. The heartrate is around 130's, and I'm having boy dreams all the time. So I was just wondering if the doc could of screwed up!!!!! Is this common concern? I have everything pink!!!!!!

YES. I was told I was having a girl all the way til the little cutie popped out. Low and behold, she was a girl. My husband was in shock, and I was crying. It can happen. My Doctor was very sure it was a boy. He said at the end, when I was in labor, "unless it fell off"...well it must have fell off.

I have heard of doctors being wrong about baby's gender, but what they're basing their info on is a lot more scientific than what you're basing yours on. I had baby girl dreams through my entire last pregnancy, and now I have a happy healthy baby boy! (Of course I also dreamt that I could fly, which would be really great, but that one never came true either.) The brain is a weird thing...could it be that you want a girl really badly, and think about it a lot, and maybe that's why you are having dreams that baby is a girl?

The heartbeat thing is just an old wives tale. I have two boys and one girl, and one of my boys and my girl had practically the same heartrate throughout the whole pregnancy while my other son's was a lot lower.

I actually had 2 people in my family be told one thing and the both ended up with the oppsite. My cousin who ended up with a girl after being told it was a boy, the heart rate of the baby was only 135, so it is still possible for it to be a girl. The heart rate is an old wife's tale. And my cousin who ended up with boy it's heart rate was 165, so I don't think you should get nervous yet. I am pregnant with my first child and I decided not to find out for that simple fact. Everyone must realize nothing is guarteed in life people make mistakes. But good luck. I hope everything is going good.

You have a 50-50 chance of the baby being a girl unless the bay in the ultrasound has it's legs wideopen. In that case you should be able to detect penis/vagina. I have been told a light line doen the center indicates a girl. Ultrasounds can also be wrong! The baby may look like a boy but the penis may only be a shadow.

I was told boy, boy, boy by everyone. My inlaws went as far as buying all boy clothes. Fortunately, I was steadfast to wait until after the baby was born. I have a beautiful little girl. :)

Whatever the child is, enjoy it!

yes the doctors can be wrong I had 4 ultrasounds when i was pregnant with my son and all 4 times they said he was a girl. I like you kept having boy dreams and just knew in my heart it was a boy and he was. How far along are you? Are you carrying the baby high up near your boobs or low? Has anyone done the ring and string test on you? Is this your first?

My doctor told me that my son was a girl. Then he wasn't, but it was only because his umbilicle cord was covering his "private area". But the dreams, those are normal. Everybody has vivid dreams when they're pregnant. Half the time they don't mean anything. Although I will tell you that I actually saw my son in a dream. And he looked EXACTLY the same when he was born.

I'll let you know Monday after delivery. ;-) Actually, I don't think there's going to be much of a problem with ours. The first ultrasounds where you could try to tell, it was pretty obvious that he's a boy. The second and third time, well, let's just say he takes after his father and has little modesty!!

It is possible for the Dr to be wrong. When I was pregnant with my twins they told me I was having one boy and one girl. I could not think of a girls name to save my life. Turns out I had two boys.

yes they can be wrong. They haven't been wrong on me yet. The first one was a total surprise because he wouldn't let nobody see but the others they showed. The way it was explained to me for a girl is it looks like a hamburger if that helps you any.
