I have asked the question, "What does a world at peace look like to you?" The answers were very discouraging. I find that the problem lies in the many different definitions of what world peace is and who would make the decisions about what is and is not allowed in that peaceful world. Some people's and culture's peace is another's worst nightmare.
The answer that said it best was that Mars, in its barrenness and lifelessness is the best example of a world at peace.

World peace can never come about so long as there are people who are power hungry . Little dictators want to be big dictators. Big dictators want to be the first to rule the world.
The same goes for religious dictators. The top person in each of the world religions would like to have more and more members under them.
Large members mean strength . More menbers mean more money. Remove the greed for power and money, and world peace is possible.
Educate the people to not follow and fight for the ambition of their leaders, and world peace is possible.
Very carefully think out what those ambitious leaders are saying. See through their personel ambition, and world peace is possible.

As long as those who know that peace can be achieved do not speak out together then no it will not be accomplished EVER. This world is becoming a global community and with the Internet and such we who want and desire peace, we who can get past judgments and condemnation, have a moral obligation to unite and stand together. I do see individuals speak out and that gives me a glimmer of hope. I see and read about organizations that reach out and reach for love and peace and that gives me a glimmer of hope. But once again we must have a total global unity to achieve the Peace that I know is attainable. What have you done for Peace Lately?

*shakes head sadly* As long as their are murders, there is no safety and peace.
And unfortunately, it is my belief that nothing will be solved without deaths. War, apparently, is the only way our world-leaders can get their point across... Tis sad.

Yes the day that we displaced to our politicians/petroleum people.
They produced every war that you can think of in 200 years.
