ummm because they would Rather be here, and aren't hurting anyone. If they WANT to live here its their right.
(Is it not the duty of a person under any government to question the law when it is unjust? oh and the American government doesn't pay health care, and they shouldn't pay taxes seeing as they can't vote for where the tax money goes to. What ever happened to the "Great American Melting Pot" and driving wages bellow minimum is illegal as well. )
Many immigrants are fleeing here for an opportunity for a better life, should we deny them that?

This is a charitable nation much different from the one almost all immigrants come from.
We have a tendency to take care of our own here.
Immigrants know this and want to take advantage of it by becoming citizens.
This is good! We have a system for that. Mexican and Latino illegal aliens have wonderful work ethic as they come from a place where if you don't work (or steal) you will starve to death.
They are used to working and working hard to keep whatever menial job they had in their old home countries.
I think to them its all gravy here. And you know what? It is!
Letting them stay because of job selection that Americans won't do is an outright deception.
Americans are tough capitalist. When an opportunity to make money is available they jump on it. That's why we as Americans secretly admire these illegals.
I think we need these tough people and need to assimilate them and make them Americans too. Not misplaced Mexicans but Americans.

some immigrants, Mexicans and even Europeans have risked their lives to get here; others crossing the borders and others hiding on ships exposed to the worst things you can ever imagine (watch the movie"deadly voyage).i know immigrants who live here for many years, they have children born here and they live on a low income, but still give to charity, help other immigrants to fit in, and after all, the U.S. is what it is today, because of immigration, and because of the rich cultures everyone brings to it. imagine if someone would have asked the same question 100 years back when most of our grandparents came to the US; and imagine all the people that were already here, opposing to the idea: where would you and me be today? think about that and maybe you will find the answers.

Mexican Immigration Law.
Below is how the Mexican government handles immigrants to their country.
If you immigrate to Mexico, you must speak the native language. You have to be a professional or an investor. We are not going to take unskilled workers. You will not be allowed. There will be no special programs in the schools to teach you Spanish, no special ballots for elections; no government business will be conducted in your native language.
Foreigners will not have the right to vote nor will they ever be allowed to hold political office. If you're in our country, you cannot be a burden to taxpayers. You are not entitled, ever, to welfare, to food stamps, or other government goodies.
You can come if you invest here, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage. If you don't have that amount of money you have to stay home If you do come and you want to buy land you will not be allowed to buy waterfront property in Mexico. That will be reserved for citizens naturally born in this country. As a foreigner, you must relinquish individual rights to property.
You don't have the right to protest when you come here. You're allowed no demonstrations, you cannot wave a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies or you get sent home. You're a foreigner. You shut your mouth or you get out, and if you come here illegally, you go straight to jail and we're going to hunt you down 'til we find you.
Do you need any other reason?

What would be your reasons to justify why you should be allowed to stay in another country... say Paris?
What would you say if someone asked you "Why should we let you stay here in Paris?"
The United States has always been called a "Mixing Pot" and was founded and grew the way that it did because of its diversity.
You want to be careful that you are not making your negatives based upon stereotypes or assumptions. Many of the negatives are assumptions that apply to everyone in the United States not just immigrants.

Although I whole-heartedly agree that they need to leave, I have debated the same point you are trying, and here's what I've concluded (against my wishes):
America is a land of supposed freedom. Why should we deny ANYONE the right to be happy and safe? What right do we have to reject a human being who is just as good as yourself because of a different (please excuse my phrasing) genre? Although Americans are being run-over by immigrants, they come here because they are afraid or completely unhappy in their original home, and can't call it home...

That reason is not a good one to let them stay. #1, they are illegal. #2, they work for less than the federal minimum wage which drives down wages in certain sectors of business. #3, many do not pay taxes, they get hurt, and we pay more in health care becuase we are paying for these idiots also.
ILLEGAL immigrants need to go home. Legal immigrants we need and they are welcome to stay.
