The basic thing about abortion is that it kills a living creature. There can be no argument about that fact.

(1) Abortion is a termination of pregnancy before the foetus is capable of independent life.
(2) When the expulsion from the uterus occurs after the foetus becomes viable usually at the end of six months of pregnancy, it is technically a premature birth. In the United Kingdom, when the foetus is not born alive after 24 weeks of pregnancy it is termed a still birth.
(3) There are two types of abortions
a) spontaneous abortion
b) induced abortion
(4) In addition to that I would like to mention here that expelled foetuses weighing less than 0.5 kg or of less than 20 weeks’ gestation are usually considered abortions.

Well, you show up at the clinic and are bombarded by a bunch of anti-abortionists so the clinic sometimes has aides to get you into the building because these people are blocking the way. When you finally get inside, you fill out the forms and then they take you back into a room and explain the procedure. Then you go in and get undressed and get on the table. Then they give you a shot inside to induce labor and they take this vacuum thing and suck the fetus out. then they send you home with antibiotics to take for 14 days. its easier to leave because the anti-abortionists have left. You have to take it easy for the rest of the day. It's not easy and it is uncomfortable. I don't recommend it.

There's this book called Freakonomics. It's a bestseller, it will be easy to find in any library. There's a chapter in there about how abortion led to a decrease in crime. You could use that to take a different approach to the topic.

If you are doing a report, then get objective information from books or websites that deal with the medical aspects.

It is in fact deadly, either to a baby or the mother herself... There's a lot of grotesque things included with abortions.

you need to do a search on google and find websites to give you information. what people tell you on here prolly isnt very reliable....find a website thats .org....that would prolly be the most reliable.
