As for tanks... you need to be patient and persistent. Scour local calssifieds, bulletin boads outside supermarekts, and local fish stores. There are a lot of used tanks floating out there and you just need to find them. Also sign up for freecycle and look up craiglist for your city. They often have tanks free or cheap.

I got a 135 tank and stand free... UI just had to pay for the truck. I got a 75G for $50, three 36 G tanks, stands and bunch of equipment for $100... the list goes on. Never pay more than a gallon per tank. Smaller tanks, 50-75 cents per gallon. Medium sized tanks up to 75G would be $1 per gallon. Over 100G, $1.50-2 per gallon. That is what I usually offer depending on the quality of the tank.

Good luck.

I don't, but I do know who you can ask. You can join freecycle.org in the nearest city to you. This group was designed to keep things out of the landfills, but people often give away pets, and I have seen postings for tanks, in my city. It is free to join, and free to participate. Hope this helps!
